Djokovic Defeats Tsitsipas in Final
Novak Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets on Sunday to win the French Open for the second time in his career. The victory gives Djokovic his 21st Grand Slam title, moving him one ahead of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the all-time standings.
Dominant Performance
Djokovic was dominant throughout the tournament, dropping only one set in his seven matches. He was particularly impressive in the final, winning the first set in a tiebreaker and then cruising through the next three sets.
Tsitsipas, who was playing in his first Grand Slam final, was unable to match Djokovic's experience and composure. The Greek player made a number of unforced errors and was unable to convert his break points.
With his victory, Djokovic has now won two of the four Grand Slams in 2022. He will be looking to add to his tally at Wimbledon and the US Open later this year.
