Footage From A Denver Theatre Shows The Republican Representative Being Escorted Out

Lauren Boebert apologizes for vaping and taking photos during 'Beetlejuice' performance

Footage from a Denver theatre shows the Republican representative being escorted out.

Boebert has since issued an apology, saying she was "not intentionally trying to be disrespectful."

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert has apologized after video emerged of her vaping and taking photographs during a musical performance of "Beetlejuice" in Denver.

Surveillance video from the Denver Center for the Performing Arts shows Boebert being escorted out of the theatre on Sunday night. The video shows Boebert and a male companion vaping and taking photos during the performance.

Boebert has since issued a statement apologizing for her actions.

"I want to apologize for my behavior," Boebert said. "I was not intentionally trying to be disrespectful. I was simply trying to capture a moment and share it with my followers."

Boebert's apology comes after several people seated near her complained about her behavior.

"It was very disruptive," one audience member said. "She was vaping and taking pictures during the entire performance. It was impossible to enjoy the show."

Boebert is not the first politician to be caught vaping in public. In 2019, then-Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) was caught vaping during a hearing of the Senate Banking Committee.
